Elkton Bike Night

Elkton Bike Night kicks off on Thursday, April 5, 2012 on Public Square in downtown Elkton, Kentucky.  Each year, hundreds of motorcycles line Public Square every Thursday night.  Even if you don't have a motorcycle, many people come to “the Square” just to visit and enjoy the live entertainment.

The Todd County Community Alliance, a nonprofit membership organization established to promote Todd County, Kentucky, has already lined up live entertainment every Thursday night on Public Square from April 5th to October 4th.  Other entertainment scheduled for later in the year includes additional performances by bands Andy Miller Band, Joey Drake, Sonny Killibrew, Rocky Rager, Mason Dixon, Charlie Edmonds, Kentucky Travelers, and music by Clay Bilyeu.  Visit the Todd County Community Alliance Elkton Bike Night Pagefor a complete schedule of Elkton Bike Night Events.

Local restaurants have Bike Night specials and special food vendors set up in the area.  According to Bike Night Committee Chairman, Marquitta Cassetty, “Other vendors, church groups, Relay for Life teams are also welcome and encouraged to set up.  They just need to contact me to work out the details of setting up and I will help them find a location to set up.”

Elkton Yard Sale Days

Elkton, Kentucky will once again hold YARD SALE DAYS in conjunction with the 400 Mile Sale. Last year, nearly 40 yard sales were held in the City during the four-day sale and all reported selling a lot of stuff and having a wonderful time.  The city of Elkton waives the Yard Sale permit fees during this event and the yard sale does not count towards your four day annual limit. A listing of the yard sales in Elkton and a location map will be published in the Todd County Standard the week of the Sale and will be available at Elkton City Hall, at the Welcome Center in the Historic Courthouse, and online at www.elktonky.com. If you have any questions about YARD SALE DAYS call Elkton City Hall at 265-9877.

Vendor Booths Available

Yard sale and vendor booth space is still available!  Due to demand for space in the city to hold yard sales, the city of Elkton is allowing yard sale booths and vendors to set up on the old Elkton Die Casting property located at 302 West Jefferson Street.  Space is free and will be allocated each day on a first come first serve basis.  Contact Vicki at City Hall for more information at 270.265.9877 or at vhayden@elktonky.com.
